This competition is healthy and is of course needed. But in pursuit of supremacy, certain organizations have been resorting to unethical means, which is not the subject of discussion here. Every company wants to have its own brand image. To promote this, companies hire popular individuals as their representatives. The very objective of this promotional campaign is growth in business.The most important contribution of brand ambassadors lies in their ability to use promotional strategies.But today, brand ambassador as a term should not be confined to celebrities or an outsider to the organization but it should be someone who is part and parcel of the company.
The greatest strength of a company is its work force. Ignoring this many companies focus on their branding campaigns by taking help of outsiders. It is needless to say that every well managed employee wants to have a very strong bond with the company. If the employee is not managed properly then he will definitely be not in a mood to contribute to the growth of the organization and he will be doing his job as do it just for the sake of doing it. If any company does not understand that the employees are its brand ambassadors, then it is committing a blunder. Engaged employees generally have a tendency to grow with the organization. They contribute by having two thoughts in mind one is allegiance to the company for having given an opportunity and an expectation that the contribution will be rightly rewarded in future. It is time and again proved that employee engagement addressed as bright light, ensures that extra mile for the organization.
In one of the conversations with my CEO, I heard him saying that my employees are my brand ambassadors. Brand promotion in the form of advertisements, is just action and is unreal. Even an untutored brain can understand this. But if an employee is speaking great of the organization he is working for, there can’t be a greater satisfaction for the employer, and that will be the yard stick for a client who is willing to get associated in business. Ultimately what matters is mutual contribution. If the employee wins the employer wins and if the employer wins the employee wins. It is a very rare reversible scenario. It all depends on the way people shift their perception of things. If somebody chose to be an entrepreneur or an employee, it is his or her choice. But when you have accepted a role it should be done with heart…
